Claims to fame: Conservative “family values” Republican; Bushbot; adulterer; accused batterer
Moral apex: Could be his five-year extramarital affair with a woman 35 years his junior — or could be the time (in 2004) he was giving her a backrub in his apartment and allegedly started choking her.
What happened next: Well, the affair ended. Oh, and 29-year-old bit-o’-fluff Cynthia Ore called 911 on her 64-year-old sugar daddy.
Twinkie defense: Sherwood says the whole story was a “political smear.”
Which doesn’t explain why: Sherwood gave her $5.5 million in a “confidential settlement.”
Fun fact: At the time of the “backrub” incident, Sherwood had been married 33 years; he and his wife have three daughters.
