Moral apex: Invested $7,500 (some sources say $15,000) in porn movie, Beauty Queens, in 1974. Movie was shelved, but Gramm left investment alone, to be used in director’s next feature.
Punch line #1: Gramm’s money was finally put to use to make White House Wedding, an X-rated “anti-Nixon” movie.
Punch line #2: White House Wedding was written by founder of the Cockettes, the explicit (and gay) San Francisco performance group.
